Left 4 Dead 2!



On November 17, the best zombie game will be released! It is Left 4 Dead 2. All new characters, weapons and campaigns and also, enemies! One of the new enemies is the Charger, it is the combination of a common infected and a tank. One of its arms is much more larger than the other and is used to smashing survivors.

Hey guys, it's me again. Sorry for the second edition being very late. I have been facing problems in logging in to Erepublik but now, it's back to normal. Let's begin with the first section of the edition, the traditional way, the reviews.

Game Reviews
Empire:Total War
A RTS game (Real-Time Strategy) where you can control your army with different and awesome tactics. It even had a 94% from PC gamer magazine which is very good. You can fight on sea and land. Hurry up and get it! Lead your men to victory!

Why you should play Call of Duty
Call of Duty, as you all know, is very famous. But, unfortunately, some people started hating it. Especially after they made Call of Duty World at War (a.k.a Call of Duty 5/COD 5). They said it was not "decent" and stuff. But after playing it, I felt that it was good. Up to standard and somehow, above average. I mean, what game have you ever played that lets you experience the war theatre like Call of Duty. So for this edition, I would like to review on Call of Duty World at War (My tag: IsTrooper2). 

Call of Duty World at War
From stabbing Japanese with bayonets to roasting Germans with molotovs, this game is the MOST realistic game I have ever played. If you have good graphics and all, this game makes you feel like you're in a shithole, even from your computer screen. The multiplayer was alright except for some things like getting killed from just one bullet. But the good thing about multiplayer though is that it is very realistic (Unlike the campaign on Recruit Mode) an example is this, You can shoot a person in the chest with a pistol and get an instant kill. Yup, thats what I mean. 

Free FPS games (and their reviews)

WolfTeam
A game which is very unique from the rest because of the ability to transform into a wolf instead of the traditional bayonet. And instead of only one available wolf, there are a plenty to choose from. From Guardian Wolves (Huge wolves with 800+hp and has the ability to block bullets) to Smart Wolves (Small, fast and agile wolves). There are even Human versus Wolves Mode. There are also new maps. weapons and wolves updated regularly. Currently, the latest wolf is the Psycho Wolf, a wolf which could pull people with its mind. Ok now, onto the bad things, it has hackers, but Softnyx managed to take care of it so its clean and good as new now. Another thing is that it gets boring after a while and those pros will always pwn the noobs.

Combat Arms
Just downloaded it yesterday, it was fun and everything seems to be detailed. The maps, the graphics, weapons and all. The maps have twist and turns almost everywhere and even I haven't figure out all the maps. But the bad thing is, they concentrate more on graphics than any other things (Based on feedback from players of Combat Arms).

WarRock
This oldie has gone a long way. It happened to be the only free FPS game I know with driveable vehicles other than Kuma War. It has good missions and many maps. But currently, there's a lot of hackers in it, but once they take care of this pests, it will be as good as new.

Soldier Front (known as SF)
A game proudly made by ijji, the creators of Gunz the duel, have many enemies including bots, soldiers and the hardest of all, those real world "others". Almost the same as any other FPS games (positively) it is a worth trying game.

Kuma War
A game which is fun and has a few modes. It is currently in Beta. Another good thing is that it has Driveable Vehicles. Also, everything is FREE in Kuma Gamesthey don't have things like, "Cash Items" or anything of that nature. The graphics are ok for a free game. But (Like all the other games) it has a few glitches. bugs etc as it is in Beta.

Gunz
Same creator of Soldier Front, it takes FPS to the next level. It has third-person views with first-person views too. You can jump from building to buildings, and get to hand-to-hand combat with your knife. You can even create your own skills! it may sound a bit unrealistic, but its very fun and enjoyable.

Wolfenstein:Enemy Territory
A game which is based on World War 2. It takes us through the European Countries as well as the Allied Push Inland. It does not get updated regularly but with the different maps and classes, you wouldn't get bored with cooking people with flamethrowers or exploding them with grenade launchers.

America's Army
The title says it all, this game is made by of course, the american army, and also make players work with teammates and follow real-life rules like the ROE(Rules of Engagement) through missions.Note: This game is more of a simulation than a fun FPS game. It is kind of boring but a try won't hurt.

BlackShot Online
A game which I recommend to you. Adding new maps and weapons almost weekly and also modes. It has a mode (which is by far my favourite mode) called the "Bunker Defense" mode. Where up to 4 players in a map need to hold off an attack by NPCs and some are suicide bombers which you need to kill from afar in order to prevent them from getting to you.

Record I

Patient A: "So how... this book not bad yah?"

Patient B: "Yah agree, excellent! Astounding work. No nonsense, sharp and concise to the point. But there's a major flaw in this piece of art – too many character names to remember!!!"

Nurse: "Hey! Can the two of you put the telephone book back to the original place?"

Record II

A doctor asked a patient: "If I were to cut one of your ears off, what will happen to you?"

Patient: "Then I will not be able to hear..."

Doctor: "Hmm…that's normal...so if I were to cut your other ear off, what will happen then?"

Patient: "I will not be able to see..."

The doctor became nervous and asked: "Why would you not see then???"

Patient: "Because my spectacles will fall off..."

Record III

IMH has an old lady who wears black, carries a black umbrella and squats at the entrance to the IMH everyday without fail, rain or shine.

The doctor wanted to administer treatment for her but decided to understand her behavior first.

So, the doctor also wears black and carries a black umbrella; squatted besides her everyday. The days go by...the two of them squatted side-by-side w/o a single exchange of word. After one solid month, the old lady finally broke the silence and asked the doctor: "Err...Excuse me! Are you also a mushroom?"

Record IV

A nurse saw a patient writing a letter. She got curious and went to take a peek. But the patient didn't wanna let her see.

Nurse (unable to contain her curiosity): "Who are you writing to?"

Patient: "I'm writing a letter to myself..."

Her curiosity grew and she thought to herself (Why would someone write a letter to himself?)

So she asked again: "So...what's written inside?"

Patient (got impatient): "You crazy ah? I haven't received the letter, how would I know??"

Record V

Two patients escape from the IMH. They climbed up a tree and one of them fell from the tree and started rolling on the ground.

After a while, the patient below shouted to the one on top: "Hey! How come you are not coming down yet?"

The patient on top replied: "No. no...I can't...I'm not ripe yet"

Record VI

One patient visited the doctor: "Doc...How? I think I'm a chicken since the day I was born..."

Doctor: "Wah! That’s very serious...Why do you only come and seek treatment now?"

Patient: "Because my family needs me to hatch the eggs..."

Record VII

One truck driver was doing his usual delivery to IMH.

He discovered a flat tyre when he was about to go home. He jacked up the truck and took the flat tyre down. When he was about to fix the spare tyre, he accidentally dropped all the bolts into the drain. As he can't fish the bolts out, he started to panic.

One patient happened to walk past and asked the driver what happened.

The driver thought to himself, since there's nothing much he can do; he told the patient the whole incident.

The patient laughed at him & said "can't even fix such a simple problem...no wonder you are destined to be a truck driver..."

Here’s what you can do, take one bolt each from the other 3 tyres and fix it onto this tyre. Then drive to the nearest workshop and replace the missing ones, easy as that"

The driver was very impressed and asked "You're so smart but why are you here at the IMH?"

Patient replied: "Hello, I stay here because I'm crazy not STUPID!"

All of these jokes are from someone else (Anonymous). I didn't make this up.

Were there organisms living on other planets?

Again, I did some research and the results have came out. There is a possibility of organisms living on other planets. An example is Mars, it has strange markings of someone doing it. There were great canyons on Mars too. Similar to the Grand Canyon (On Earth), which was once filled with water! And this has led us to a theory which said that there were oragnisms on Mars. When there's water, there's organisms.

Can Plants feel pain?

On my last article, I wrote that my scientific theories will be published next week but I am going to publish it now! Ok now onto the theories.

Can plants feel pain? That question have been asked from people to people. Even scientists haven't figured it out. But after some research, scientists have made a theory, which is plants DO feel pain! But after all, this hasn't been confirmed yet. I have been studying some plants lately and one of them is the mimosa. It can, as you all know, close when something or someone touches it. Which means that it can feel and respond to changes(But of course this is a structural adaptation as they can't choose when they would close and stuff) and also, I am still thinking what would they feel. Plants have behavioural adaptations too. They can choose when to make their seeds ripe and other stuff like that. In conclusion, they could have so called "brains" and if they do have "brains" means that they can feel pain! But on the other hand, plants do not have nerve cells. Perhaps, in the near future, you would see banners saying, "Save the Plants!" and then our only food source would be animals and we are also trying to save the animals. I guess we would have to starve to death. What do you think? Can Plants Really Feel Pain?

Gaience!




Hi guys and thanks for taking some time to read my newspaper. Just for some of you people who might be thinking what Gaience is, it's actually a gaming newspaper but with a little bit of scienctific theories. Gaming+Science=Gaience! Ok now onto the articles.....

Game Rumours
As you all know, there are such game rumours. One of them is the rumour that Call of Duty 6: Modern Warfare 2 is coming out but I do have confirmation that it WILL be COMING. Infinity Ward has confirmed this. (Try searching it on the net, it’ll help).
But today, I won’t be talking about COD (Call of Duty), instead I will be talking about the rumoured SWB3(Star Wars Battlefront 3). There is no lead if there will be a SWB3 but there is one leaked video that has been shown on the net. Here’s the link:

This is the SWB we’ve been wanting. It has ground to air combat where you can get into a ship and fly it to space unlike SWB2 or 1. You can even bash up a storm trooper with an Ewok!(lol I liked that part) and you could also fly Boba/Jango Fett’s ship! It even has a good storyline. Looking forward to this. This would sure be a bestseller if it were to sell in the market.

Best strategy game: Sins of a Solar Empire
After finally managing to survive through 2 hours of Sins of a Solar Empire, I have just captured 3 planets. This is the game for those strategy gamers who really want to manage a country (instead of countries, this game uses planets) as well as going to war with the other factions. You can build alliances with other factions too. I haven’t tried the online part yet but I could tell you this, this is a recommended game.
Best Shooter: Far Cry 2
Almost, maybe I should say all, parts of the game is in first-person mode which is giving you the “feel” like as if you’re in that game, running away from bullets. What makes this game a good badass game is that it is mostly based on reality (other than the fact that your going solo most of the time against a whole army of baddies) like the part where you can pull shrapnel out of your skin and when your gun gets jammed. Nice memories, aren’t they?
Best Multiplayer:Left 4 Dead
I don’t know where to start to talk about the good things about this game cos almost all of it is good! The multiplayer, co-op mode, zombies, graphics and did I mention multiplayer? Oh and the maps! Although everything sounds so good, the best part of it is the multiplayer part. Better than any other multiplayer mode is when your team is being chased by zombies and your stuck in a zombie apocalypse. A must-try game.

Tips and tricks for L4D

Here are the five golden rules you have to live by to live(survive) in the world of L4D multiplayer.
Rule no. 1
Know the Map like the back of your hand: You should really make an effort to get familiar with the map so you could get extra ammo, health etc. Of course, you wouldn't want to lead your team into a spawn area of a tank. And also know the "ambush places" where you can get ambushed by the enemies.
Rule no.2
Get a leader and listen to his orders(unless you want to be kicked out of the server)
Assign a team leader in your team, of course the team leader must be familiar with the map, so it would not end up like the one I said earlier. Listen to all the team leader's commands and maybe, just maybe, he could save your life. If you hate being told what to do, why don't ypu learn to give orders.
Rule. no 3
Be cautious of your surroundings
L4D is a game where you need all of your senses(except for smell, but be sure to get out of the house if you smell smoke), you got to hear if there is a sobbing sound (witch) or the change in the music(hunter etc). Use your eyes to spot out figures in the dark. It could save your skin.
Rule no.4
Stay in formation
1 in front, 2 at teh left and right and 1 at the back. There you got yourself a perfect formation to cover each other.
Rule no.5
Noobs, give the shotguns to the pros
Ok, pros, this is when you come in, grab the shotguns first while leaving the noobs with the SMGs. We wouldn't want any "friendly-fire" accidents, would we?
Live by the rules, Live in L4D.
